Bargaining 2026

CEA and OSEA Chapter 124

In the spirit of transparent information sharing with the community, the school district will share materials about the current negotiations with the Central Education Association (CEA) and OSEA Chapter 124. CEA represents the licensed staff within the district. OSEA represents the classified staff. We continue to build upon our partnerships with both associations represented in the district. This page will share information specific to agendas, general meeting minutes, proposals and other relevant data/documents during negotiations.

Central School District 13J key updates about negotiations

We've posted proposals from each side. However, after listening to information most recently presented by staff we realize we need to provide more detailed and clear information.

We also recognize our community has questions about negotiations. As we move into mediation, we will provide regular updates about the bargaining process, district and union proposals, financial considerations, and important developments. Please visit this Bargaining website, where you can find updates on what has been tentatively agreed to, and what we are still working through.

The district is moving forward with both unions to mediation. This can be a productive tool that is available in the state to help close the gaps in the articles we currently are not seeing eye to eye. For OSEA #124, the union requested mediation. For CEA, the district requested mediation.  Both of these requests go through the Employee Relations Board.  The state assigns a mediator to each request.  They then share dates available with the mediator and then we work on finding and finalizing the date(s) that work for everyone.

OSEA and the district will meet with the state mediator on October 26.

CEA and the district will meet with the state mediator on Nov. 5. These meetings are not open to the public. We will share what we can on the Bargaining website.
